
Windows Defender will usually lethal protection itself just find another antivirus installed on Windows 8 / 10. One striking difference between Windows Defender in Windows 8 and Windows Defender in Windows 10 is that you can not turn off Windows Defender permanently even after choosing to turn it off in Settings.

1. You open the registry editor in Windows (type regedit in the search box) and run as administrator.
2. Now you go to the following locations.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows Defender
3. Now you see the box on the right, you create a DWORD (32-bit) new, how to right click -> New -> DWORD (32-bit) and you name the Disable Windows Defender (free is fine).
